Autoblogging – Does It Still Make Any Sense To...

Does autoblogging still make any sense? The search engines - especially Google - are clamping down on duplicate content sites. It is impossible to get a good ranking for all those duplicate content pages created by autoblogging software tools and plugins.
And even worse: If the majority of your content is duplicate content, Google will penalize your site and it will become very difficult to rank your unique content pages - no matter how great they are.
So, from an SEO standpoint autoblogging surely doesnt make much sense. On the other hand, auto blogging may be a great way to provide fresh, new and quality content to your readers.
For example, all my sniper and micro niche sites are set up and configured in a way to automatically build a "fan base" on Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites... and some of those people come and visit my website - some even subscribe and read some of my autoblogging content on a regular basis.
In other words, autoblogging allows me to get visitors to my sites every day without the need to spend hours writing new articles for all of my mini sites. Everything happens automatically - new people come to my sites every day (from social media sites, article directories, social bookmarking sites...), some of them click on my AdSense ads, they may do a ZIP submit for  a CPA offer, every now and then someone buys  product Im recommending as an affiliate.
Sure, those kinds of "no-effort" sites dont really make a lot of money. But still, it adds up to $5-$10 a day.
All in all, the positive effects of autoblogging shouldnt be underestimated. But, is has to be done in the right way.

Here are some tips for you if you are interested in Auto Blogging:

I use auto blogging only on "not so important" websites - typically micro niche and sniper types of sites, where Im not really concerned about the long term success of the sites.

I only use Wordpress for my sites and there are some really expensive auto blogging plugins available. I think, the free wp-o-matic plugin is great and works perfectly well.

I also add some unique content to my blogs (15-20 articles). Usually I get them for ~$5 per article on sites like Fiverr.com or oDesk.com. Having your own unique content pages (on low competition keywords) is really important to get some organic traffic from the major SEs and to increase your sales and ad clicks.

I drip feed 1 new blog post about every 4-5 days. Im using a plugin called WP-AutoPoster to fully automate this. Thats so far the best drip feed poster I found.

Make sure to do a minimum amount of promotion (link building) for your unique content articles. To fully automate this, I use the OnlyWire Plugin to get automatic backlinks from the top social bookmarking sites for all my new posts. I also use the Digi Article Blaster to get 100-150 backlinks from various article directories for each of my new blog posts - this tool is really amazing.

All my autoblogging content is added to a specific category (something like: Your Keyword News). And all autoblogging content is set to "noindex" - that way, Google doesnt look at my duplicate auto blogging pages and Im not getting penalized.

Use only full content feeds for your autoblogging posts. Your audience wants interesting articles and not just a headline and a link.

Her are some ideas for your full text feeds: http://www.articlespan.com/rssbuilder.php - this allows you to create a customized full text feed for your autoblogging posts.

If you cant find any full text feeds, you can also use a service like: http://fivefilters.org/content-only to convert a partial feed into a full text feed.

So, that way you can benefit from both worlds: Unique content pages to get free organic search traffic and autoblogging content to keep your visitors happy - without getting any problems from the search engines.
